It is hard to believe, but the day has finally come! One year and one week after I first held Olivia, we are boarding the plane to go and bring her home! It was somewhat surreal as I left the house this morning realizing that when I return it will no longer be a single resident home! WOOOHOO!
God is so good. This past year has been such an incredible journey and I know that the adventure is just beginning! I have been blessed this past year with new friends who are now among my best, strangers opening their wallets and helping to raise the incredible funds required to get her here, and friends and family who have loved, prayed for, and encouraged me every step of the day -- most especially on those days when it seemed like today would never come!
So buckle up your seat belts and come along for the ride! Dad has declared this to be a smooth and hassle-free trip, and after 42 years, I'll go ahead and support him in his ongoing proclamation that he is always right!
