Oh What a Week! God is Good!

Oh what a week!  God is good and has been up to mighty and miraculous things, when means that Satan has not been happy and wants to remove the joy.

What excitement on Monday when from the mailbox I pulled a Show Hope envelope.  Until I got inside, I kept pleading "Please! Please! Please!" And when I opened it, I was greeted with congratulations and the blessing by them of a very kind and generous grant!

Up sick Wednesday night and a slow start to packing for Baltimore on Thursday.  And as I sat with a rumbling stomach waiting to load the car, I glanced down at my phone and was greeted with a message from my wonderful Lifeline social worker, Logan, saying we are DTC (Dossier to China)!  Praise God!   Paperwork is all on the plane to China!

Friday morning, in a hotel somewhere between Columbus and Baltimore, I roll over and glanced at my phone while laying in bed and am greeted by a messae from Jewel saying that I need to have Lifeline call O's orphanage because there is a Chinese couple that is trying to adopt her.  POW.  Emails to Logan and Karla and Karla quick response.  As we continued our drive to Baltimore, I continued to get words of confirmation, congratulations, and prayers for O and I.

Late afternoon call from Logan.  She received my email right before their weekly call with Lily.  They have a plan. Lily will call the orphanage director on Monday morning to figure out what is going on (it is already Friday night there, so everyone in China gone for weekend).  Can't make any promises, reference usually goes to Chiense family, know that O can't get the care in China.  Praying with me that this is just a time for trust and belief.

Oh...and Lifeline has approved me for a ministerial grant!  God is good!

Walking through the hotel lobby in Baltimore, my friend, Janice, gave me a big hug and shared how excited she is and how she loves seeing updates.

Joe then spoke up and said, "I want to let you know that Rex is praying for you.  He called me into his office to show me the card you sent him with the picture of you and O on it.  He has it on his desk, next to his light wehre he puts all of the special things that he is praying for.  You two are there."  WOW!  If Rex is on it, if Rex is praying for us, I can rest peacefully!  What an incredible prayer warrior to have on our side!  We are blessed!

Intellectually I know that this situation with the Chinese couple is potentially a big deal; I know that there is a risk that my heart's desire will not come to be; I know that I should be stressed out and anxious.

But I'm not.

As my friend, Julie, says, "That's God!"  I know that He's got this; I know that He has a plan; I know that He loves both of us more than we can imagine; I know that He wants what is best for us.  So now it is time to not only know, but also trust and believe.
