Happy 8th Birthday, Olivia!

When your body doesn't allow you to participate in many of the current favorites for birthday fun, your mom works hard to create a party that will bring you joy and help you to forget all of those bounce houses and trampoline park parties you have to miss!

And what better way to do so for a group of 7 and 8 year old girls than a tea party?

We pulled out hats that belonged to my grandma and great aunt, had each girl choose one, had a basket full of boas, glasses and other props for a "photo booth"... (it is truly a shame that they are all so shy)...

Little sisters needed their picture taken, too!

Then we made "no-sew scarves"...which when finished of course required a fashion show parade...

We didn't take any pictures, but had a competitive game of "place the tea cup on the saucer" (think
"pin the tail on the donkey").

Next up was decorating fans...

And finally, "tea", tea treats, and cake (with a crazy candle from China that opens like a flower, spins, and plays "Happy Birthday"...

The girls were having so much fun that we never did get to the "Tea Party Bingo"...

Olivia (and I) are so blessed to have such a wonderful group of girls in her life! Their faith, friendship, and generosity is an incredible gift.

God is good!
