Preciousness Personified

"Mommy?" I don't care that it was 1:20 in the morning when the sweetest voice you have ever heard muttered this word from the crib next to my bed. I immediately rolled over and asked, "Are you ok?"

"Yes."

"Do you want to get in bed with me?"

"Yes." And as I lifted her into bed she put her tiny little hands on either side of my face, said, "I love you," and gave me a kiss.

Preciousness.

We were having a rainstorm. To try and soothe her back to sleep I started to sing to her the little bit of "Jesus Loves Me" that I know in Chinese. She joined in. Then I started to sing it in English. Again, she joined in.

Preciousness.

Because she is so precious, we will let it slide that she proceeded to turn horizontal in MY bed and leave me with exactly 8 inches on which to try and sleep.

Oh...and when we were looking through the book of photos I sent her and naming the different people in it, when we came to the pic of the beautiful stained glass at our church, she pointed and said, "Shangdi"..."God"...

Preciousness.
