God Made You JUST For Me!

In case you haven't heard me say it before, I am blessed in so many ways that to try and even start to list them all would be an impossibility.

But if I were to start, I'd start with being a daughter of The King.  He loves and treasures me more than I deserve.  I have a Mom and a Dad who have been the perfect models to me of what it means to be a parent - to love, encourage, and selflessly serve.

I have wanted to be "Mom" ever since I was a little girl.  But it has been until now - when I'm 42 - that it looks to becoming a reality.

Ever since I first picked up Olivia on June 20 of last year, I had this sense, a peace, that she was meant to be my daughter.  Which is part of what makes the song that the below video is set to so perfect.

This Sunday - May 19 - a special friend of mine is having a concert to release her 2nd CD.  Karen has a huge heart for sharing God's love with others through music!  During the concert she will be pausing and there will be a brief interview with me about adoption, and then they will be receiving an offering to help with the final expenses associated with bringing Olivia home.

Along this journey I have met some amazing families. Some, like me, are still waiting to welcome home their children into their forever family. Others are able to hug and love their kids daily. Notice the difference in the "waiting" and the "home" - amazing what some love and security will do!

Below is the video that will be played during the offering.  While the funds raised will be a wonderful blessing, my larger prayer is that those who see it will have something stirred in their hearts and that they might ask the question, "Who did God make just for me?"  There are more than 147 million orphans around the world asking that question -- 88 million of them in China alone!

  2. Ahhhh! I just asked about your daughter the other day. Little did I know you two were sitting right beneath my nose the entire time! I would live to get in contact with you. I am so happy you found sweet Olivia! I could not find an email link on your blog. You can visit me at Bellies, Bundles & Taxi Cabs.
